It’s alleged she went playing with her teenage brother at around 4 pm on Monday afternoon.

While returning home, several metres away from their house, the brother told Zinhle to go home on her own as he was going to play in a nearby street.

It was the last time Zinhle was seen.

At around 6.30 pm that evening, the family began searching for her in the neighbourhood and at her friends’ houses but she could not be found.

At around midnight, the family reported her missing to the Mamelodi SAPS.

After the completion of the missing person’s report, the police launched a manhunt for her.

The next day, a specialised police unit was called in to help search the little girl. The search was then conducted until late in the evening without success.

Mamelodi SAPS says the community has been helpful in searching for Zinhle, however, they are appealing to the public to come forward with any information concerning her disappearance.
