IT was a sad day when mourners gathered to say goodbye to business mogul Nhlanhla Gasa, who died under mysterious and tragic circumstances.

TO MANY he was a self-made businessman caught up in the sometimes murky world of business and politics.

But to his loved ones, recently murdered Nhlanhla Gasa (62) was a loving father who loved choral music and telling jokes.

“He was my confidante, mentor and business partner.

I learnt a lot from him and will always treasure everything he taught me,” his son Mpumelelo Gasa tells DRUM at his father’s funeral service in Mahlabathini in KwaZulu-Natal.

Mpumelelo is joined by hundreds of mourners who’ve come to pay their last respects to his father.
