How to treat cuts and grazes

Here's something to help before rushing to ER.

Apply sufficient pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding.

Then rinse it in cold water.

Use tweezers to remove gravel or other dirt from them wound and apply a layer of antiseptic cream to prevent infection.

Plasters keep the wound clean and prevent it becoming infected with bacteria. Change the plaster (or bandage) daily.

A cut deeper than 6mm requires stitches.

In this case take the patient to a medical practitioner immediately.
