ALL roads led to Chaf Pozi in Soweto at the weekend as the last Hunter’s Oasis Tour Party with MTV Base stopped at the popular shisa nyama joint based at the Orlando Towers.

The line up of entertainers attracted a massive crowd that was treated to live music performances. The day started with first lady of house DJ Zinhle who set the decks on fire spinning popular tunes including her smash hit My Name Is which features Busiswa.

R&B crooner Donald then took to the stage to serenade his legion of fans, mainly women, who couldn’t stop screaming as the Love I Know I Deserve singer strutted his goods in a black vest and fitted black pants.

Then it was hip-hop legend PRO’s turn to spit rhymes with his protégé Red Button. The crowd couldn’t stop jumping up and down as the Dankie San record label boss took them down memory lane performing classics like Wozobona and Makasana. Even Donald expressed his enthusiasm to see PRO in action saying “I really want to see this performance” when DRUM asked him for a short interview.

Hunters ambassador and television hottie Thapelo Mokoena kept the crowd entertained between intervals and gave away five tickets to lucky attendees to join him and his “chanas” in Zanzibar in April.

“The tour started off in Sedibeng in Soweto, moved to Max’s Lifestyle in Umlazi and Chris Saunders Park in Umhlanga in Durban then Mamelodi in Pretoria and now Chaf Pozi,” Thapelo explained. “I’ve met so many lovely people and made a lot of good friends. The ultimate party of a lifetime will be in Zanzibar where for five nights there’ll be partying every night, snorkeling, unwinding and getting to meet new chanas. I’m sure you can figure out what the result of that combination is going to be,” he added mischievously.

The gentlemen in attendance also must have felt like the luckiest of the bunch.

They had to scrape their jaws off the floor after the Protwekers took to the stage to shake their bountiful rears. Hip Hop DJ Vigilante seems to have hit the sweet spot by adding the girls to his act as many male fans were in awe of these ladies’ bootie dancing skills.

The night was capped by rocking offerings from man of the moment Dr Malinga, who thoroughly entertained the crowd, followed by Twins on Deck and DJ Vetkuk vs Mahoota who, as usual, brought the house down.

It’s been one heck of a refreshing summer with Hunter’s and MTV Base. We look forward to the mad party in Zanzibar!
