Cici opens up about her recent experiences

Singer Cici (real name Busisiwe Twala) who has a new song out called Iqiniso says the single was inspired by recent events in her life where she was allegedly abused by her former boyfriend record label owner and business man Arthur Mafokate.

Cici says she recorded the song to say things about the incident she couldn't say in public or to the media.

"I am not man-made, I am God-made. I did not want a person to play God in my life, because I know who God is. So with or without certain people, I will make it," Cici said during an interview with Gagasi FM.

Cici went on to speak out against abuse saying; "Abuse is a pandemic in this country that people have gotten too used to, the law that governs this country does not protect us. That's why people don't go to the police, because the law is not totally on board. That needs to change."

Cici and Arthur are expected to appear in court next month.
