Jacob and Mshoza play the blame game

THEIR romance was the stuff of fairytales. A rich businessman rescues a troubled child star from the streets, seeing beyond her tough-girl persona and the bad press that’s dogged her career to find a young, vulnerable woman who needs to be loved. Lavishing her with money, fast cars and plastic surgery, his love transforms her into a devoted wife, doting mother and a respectable musician. And they live happily ever after.

Mpumalanga businessman Jacob and kwaito singer Nomasonto Mnisi, better known as Mshoza, almost had their happy ending. With two beautiful children, they were the poster family for the new black upper class.

But two weeks ago the happy facade came tumbling down, and DRUM spoke to the couple to find out why.  opened for her and noticed Mshoza was calling Mnqobi frequently.
