Since he first appeared on Idols SA season 11, he’s been receiving massive support from his fans – now they’re waiting with bated breath to see Karabo Mogane from Nelspruit go against Mmatema Moremi for the coveted title of Mzansi's new Idol.

Sunday 22 November marks the season finale, where the winner of the highly contested reality TV show will be announced. Karabo and Mmatema are both currently on a national tour and will return later in the week to gear themselves up for the finale, which will take place at Carnival City.

When we chat to Karabo backstage, he seems upbeat, as he goes around taking pictures with his adoring fans.  "I imagined myself in the top two, because this has always been a dream of mine and I'm so humbled by the support I'm getting from my fans," he tells us.

Even though he hasn’t won the competition, the informatics student is already trending in Twitter. To show his appreciation to his fans for their overwhelming support, Karabo says he is planning a free concert.

"I want to perform for my fans for free and take the money I make from the show, donate it to charity," he says.

Now that he’s tasted fame he says he wants to pursue a career in show business. "I want to get into acting, and sports presenting. I've already signed up with an agent," he says with a broad smile.
