Keabetswe “KB” Motsilanyane recently announced her return to the soapie world on Twitter after a two-year break. She’s clinched a permanent role on Afrikaans soap opera 7de Laan.

Having played a musician in Rhythm City, the Mamosadi Walla sensation will now play a 36-year-old lawyer in the popular SABC2 soapie.

"Proud to announce that I've joined @real7delaan to play the character of a feisty & powerful lawyer, Lesedi. She makes her debut in my birthday month . . ."

KB has been on set since 27 January and fans can expect to see her on the small screen on 3 April.

“KB has been absolutely fantastic,” 7de Laan publicist Rosa-Mari Erasmus tells us. “She’s very professional and brings a fantastic positive vibe to set.”

Lesedi’s character will be based in Hillside to represent Cecile, the mother of Vince’s love child, Christopher.

“But her character hasn’t given up on the dream of having her own family and finding true love,” Erasmus says.

The actress made her debut in 2005, as KB, in student series Backstage and has since become a household name.

Don’t miss 7de Laan, Monday to Friday at 6 pm on SABC2.
