Rapper Kendrick Lamar who lost out on the Grammy award to Macklemore says he is down.

Despite an outcry by fans Kendrick said he was not roobed.

The rapper took to Twitter and put up a tweet which seemed fitting to the recent events.

It read: “You can let it get to you, or you can move forward and let it make you better,” he tweets.

Macklemore who won the Grammy said Lamar "deserved best rap album" and sent him a text message.

"You got robbed. I wanted you to win. You should have," he wrote.

"It's weird and sucks that I robbed you. I was gonna say that during the speech. Then the music started playing during my speech, and I froze.  Anyway, you know what it is.  Congrats on this year and your music.  Appreciate you as an artist and as a friend.  Much love."
