K.O’s light seems to be shining the brightest this year.

The rapper reigns supreme as the only African act on the line-up for the South by Southwest festival (SXSW) in the United States in March.

This is the rapper’s second encounter with an international audience. Last year the Skhanda Gawd made his international debut touring the UK with his solo album Skhanda Republik.

“It’s exciting but nerve-racking at the same time,” he says of the achievement.  “It’s a beautiful thing because the stage that we’re working on is a mixture of a number of countries,” he told TimesLive.

With his recent snub of the MetroFM Awards, K.O doesn’t seem to be haunted by it.

“There’s always going to be controversy with awards and lucky for me, I’ve learnt that awards do not break an artist,” he says.

According to the publication, K.O plans a TKO for 2016 with a couple of interesting projects and a new album due in the second quarter of the year.

The Cashtime pioneer also wants to expand his brand and make his presence felt all across Africa.
