Fellow actors remembered Lesego Motsepe as being feisty.

Tshepo Maseko, who played Parsons – Lettie’s brother for years – spoke warmly about the actress. Speaking at the memorial service, attended by the public and the actress’s former colleagues, he said: “She was so feisty and strong willed. She was larger than life.”

Throughout the service Keketso Semoko, who played her mother in the soap Isidingo, could not fight back the tears and was overcome with emotion.

Friend and fellow actress Esmeralda Bihl paid a heartfelt tribute to her friend by reading a poem written by the late actress titled ‘Teach Me How to Grieve’.

Friends, family colleagues and some members of the ANC paid tribute to the actress and the running theme of the tributes was how much of a huge personality Lesego had and the smile they will not forget.

The programmed directors were Lesego’s friend Hlengiwe Madlala and legendary actor and director Neo Matsunyane. Neo described Lesego as a bubbly person whose life had to be celebrated and said those in attendance should not have death in their minds.
