Lil Wayne’s new video causes an uproar

US rapper Lil Wayne has come under fire for allegedly stepping on the American flag in the making of his music video for the God Bless Amerika track from his latest album "I Am Not A Human Being II". The video is being filmed in Wayne’s hometown of Hollygrove, New Orleans and is directed by Eif Rivera.

Weezy as popularly referred to took to social networks to defend himself on this matter.

“I didn't step on the flag on purpose!” he tweeted.

He then explains what happens in the video so as for people to understand what was going.

“It's a scene in a video where the flag drops behind me and after it drop it's just there as I perform.”

The behind the scenes footage has been removed on the net.
