Load shedding looms over Easter weekend

The power utility has warned that if demand exceeds supply, the lights will go out

Eskom warns that Easter could be darkened by the possibility of load shedding.

The national energy supplier has warned that the system is "constrained" and that any demand or faults would result in load shedding.

The utility expects demand for electricity to go up after the long weekend on Tuesday when businesses are fully functional again

“The system will become extremely constrained at the

beginning of next week, when businesses and industry

resume operations after the long weekend," a released statement revealed.

Luckily, available capacity is expected to keep up witj demand until Tuesday.
