Local film grosses over R5mil in ten days

South African films continue to hold their grounds at cinemas even in 2016!

South Africans continue showing Mzansi movies love and support, and Happiness Is A Four Letter Word is a recent recipient of that.

Sunday World reported that the local movie grossed over R5 million in the ten days it’s been out.

The film is directed by Thabang Moleya and features Mmabatho Montsho, Khanyi Mbau, Renate Stuurman, Chris Attoh, James van Heldinge, Terence Bridget, Richard Lukunku, Tongay Chirisa, Daniel Hadebe and Hlomla Dandala.

The movie is about three friends who live in Joburg, who are going through a phase of finding love and happiness in the City of Gold.

Debuting at number 3, Happiness Is A Four Letter Word continues to rank in the Top 10 fairing well against Hollywood movies the likes of 50 Shades of Black, Hail Caesar, The Big Short and The Danish Girl.
