Popular South African afro-pop group, Mafikizolo is back at it again.

The duo launched the video for the “Colours Of Africa” single which features DJ Maphorisa and Diamond Platnumz. Mafikizolo last released an album in 2013 (Reunited), which they say paved the way for collaborations with other artists in Africa.

They plan on working with bigger names in the African music industry on their forthcoming album which is set to be released sometime this year.

The “Colours Of Africa” video is a mash of colour aimed at promoting the African dream and black excellence on all art fronts. “Let us build role models,” Theo Kgosinkwe said while explaining the concept of the video.

“People will start taking notice when they see us as a unified Africa,” Nhlanhla Nciza added.

The video itself is not shy of beautiful designs from the likes of Skorzch and Trevor Stuurman, crazy dance moves and great props.

On how the collaboration came up, Theo said they were introduced to Diamond Platnumz by Davido.

DJ Maphorisa’s work speaks for itself as he is fresh from co-producing a track that features Wizkid, Kyla and Drake.

Colours of Africa will be officially launched to the public on Friday. According to Kgosinkwe, it will go on to become a festival.
