First it was Nomuzi Mabena and Kid X last year and now in Jan 2017 Maggz makes his exit from record label Cash Time

According to TshisaLIVE and their source, Maggz's time with the record label had "run its course".

"Maggz and Cashtime were just looking for different things. He still has a lot of respect for the guys but he just felt like it was time to move on," a source said.

The paper reported that it started with the delays in the Vaye hitmaker's debut album.

Maggz told TshisaLIVE that he would be releasing a statement soon addressing his future with the label.

Cash Times Co-Founder Thabiso Khati said that the labels future is secure even with Maggz leaving. "We are not concerned about the future of Cashtime Life. We are simply changing our business model to adapt to a very difficult environment."

He also added that regardless of how big an artist was, within the confines of the record label "We believed that everyone at the label has had an equal opportunity to show their talent. No artist is bigger than another in Cashtime and we have done all we can to make sure that they are looked after and given every opportunity to showcase their talent and release their music," Thabiso said.
