The secret to the fountain of youth lies in regular exercise and eating your breakfast.

Well, that’s according to a Rockland County, New York, couple that celebrated their 82nd wedding anniversary recently.

So what’s their combined age? 212!

Duranord Veillard celebrated his 108th birthday last Saturday and his wife, Jeanne Veillard will turn 105 in May.

Nearly blind and hard of hearing Duranord says his secret is that he starts his day at 5 am and does five to seven pushups.

For breakfast he has a cup of tea, oatmeal and fresh fruit. Lunch and dinner consist of fish and fresh vegetables. The centenarians also nap early and often.

The couple do not leave their house except to see the doctor. Neither walks without assistance either. The son of a fisherman, Duranord was born on 28 February 1907 in Saint-Louis-du-Sud, Haiti, and grew up in Les Cayes, southern Haiti.

He later studied law and lived in Port-au-Prince. Duranord and Jeanne tied the knot in November 1932.

The couple have five children. They moved to the United States in 1968 after Duranord lost his job as a judge and was awarded a visa to visit the US.

He settled in Spring Valley, New York. One by one, his other family members joined him.
