Jonathan Alicea has been arrested for beating a two year-old boy unconscious and then pouring boiling water over his face to “revive” him.

The case, which was first heard in a US court in 2011, saw Jonathan being sentenced to 30 years in prison after he killed his then girlfriend’s toddler son.  He pleaded guilty.

The night before the baby boy was killed, he had soiled his diaper, which angered Jonathan.

An autopsy showed that the baby died from several injuries to the head and brain as well as burns that covered more than 35% of his body.

After failed CPR attempts, Jonathan then poured boiling water over the child’s face, believing it would revive him. He made no attempts to reach emergency unit 911.

Previously a juvenile convict, Jonathan has been found guilty of sexual abuse charges at 12 and 13.
