Miss SA 2014 finalist give us her hair tips.

For many women beautiful hair and luxuriant locks are an essential part of their identity. Women all over the world take pride in their hair. Matlala Mokoko, Miss SA 2014 finalist share her top hair tips:

Q: How do you keep your hair in good condition?

I wash my hair weekly and treat it every three weeks, depending on the type of attention my hair needs. I also apply silicone sparingly to my hair on a daily basis. At night, I sleep with a net on my head to keep the body of my hair alive.

Q: What is the best hair tip you have ever received?

Because I have a sensitive scalp and fine hair, it is critical for me to monitor any progress my hair makes in that respect. Aunty Jenny, my hairdresser, always warns me about the 'hairline syndrome'.

Q: How do you like to wear your hair?

I enjoy simplicity with a pinch of edge and a hint of chic, so I love to wear my hair in a very high sleek bun. It can take you from an easy morning hairdo to a glamorous evening event with little fuss.

Q: What are the few versatile looks you can do with your hair?

I'm in love with the variety of weaves and lace wigs that Bella Zara Hair Boutique in Rosebank offers. They have extensions that match my dusty dark brown hair colour, so this allows me to wear my hair up in an effortless bun or down in big dreamy curls.

Q: What has been your worst “bad hair day”?

The days I unplait my hair to give it a bit of a breather from my weave, I make sure that I have no plans for that day!
