An array of festivities is scheduled leading up to the 15th Metro FM awards.

This year spin-off will be a comedy show prior to the main event to be held on 27 February at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre. The comedy night will be held at the Playhouse Opera Theatre in Durban 25 February 2016 at 8pm.

The ‘METRO FM All-Star Comedy Jam’ provides the perfect way to kick-off the awards, bringing music and comedy lovers together.

Metro FM’s Station Manager Sibongile Mtyali said they are thrilled about the inclusion of the Metro FM All-Star Comedy Jam. “This inclusion is a testament of the brand’s commitment to showcase and celebrate all categories of local talent within our entertainment industry,” she said.

Mtyali said they strive for their listeners to enjoy a complete lifestyle experience. “And support our local stars in different spaces, be it comedy, fashion or music. This is what the MMA15 weekend experience is all about,” she concluded.

The line-up includes Tol Ass Mo, Simphiwe Shembe, So You Think You’re Funny winner Sifiso Nene, Jason Goliath, Carl Joshua Ncube, Thapelo ‘Shampoonizer’ Seemise and Siyabulela Seya.

The ‘METRO FM All-Star Comedy Jam’ forms part of the road to the MMA15 weekend, which will showcase fashion, music, comedy.

Listeners across the country can be part of the awards experience through the Public Viewing Areas (PVA’s) at the following venues: Durban at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, Centurion Shisanyama in Pretoria and Drifter Race Park in East London. The main event will be broadcast live on SABC 1 at 8pm.
