Asanda Foji, who plays Simphiwe on the soapie, could be fired but she has no idea about it

Generations: The Legacy has only been on for a few months but there have been fresh axing rumours making the rounds.

Sowetan reports that Asanda Foji, who plays Simphiwe on the soapie is allegedly not cracking her role and may be given the boot.

Foji's character is the meek and rural fiancée of Mazwi Moroka, played by Musa Ngema, who is the new Moroka that has been welcomed into the family after being recognised as Archie Moroka's long-lost son.

The daily reports that the production team, including the show's executive producer, Mfundi Vundla are not happy with her acting.

Foji however was surprised to find out about the potential sacking when the paper contacted her.

"I don't know anything like that. Right now, I'm very shocked," she said as quoted by the daily.

Vundla would not confirm or deny the reports to Sowetan.

"It is just rumours and I don't entertain them," he told them.

DRUM's attempts at reaching Generations: The Legacy's publicist, Sandra Mhlongo, were unsuccessful.
