Nigerian musician robbed of two Rolexes in Sandton

Nigerian musician, Davido was robbed of $55 000 (R791 000) in cash and two Rolex watches worth R50 000 each while he was walking in Sandton on Friday.

According to Timeslive, Davido received international acclaim for his unique brand of Nigerian music combined with pop and Afro soul influences.

He and his manager were attacked by two armed men just after they landed in the country and were headed to their hotel.

The musician was passing through South Africa en route to Atlanta, USA, where he is based and performs regularly.

Davido posted on Twitter - “Thank God for my life.... If not for him... E for be different story ... My daughters face was flashing through my eyes the whole time” He also took to Twitter to share his experience:
