Three KwaZulu-Natal schoolgirls who were recorded slapping, shoving and kicking a fellow pupil have been expelled.

The Daily News reported that the three girls were suspended following the incident, and the governing body of Vukuzakhe High School in Durban had subsequently decided to expel them.

The KwaZulu-Natal education department spokesman Isaac Luthuli said they don’t tolerate ill disciple.

“This should send a clear message that we don’t tolerate ill disciple in our schools.”

The video recording of the pupil being slapped and shoved while sitting on a bed, and kicked in the stomach while on the floor, went viral.

The two-minute and 40-second clip happened last year in September and no one spoke about it, until it resurfaced in the media a few days ago. ?
