Occult unit to probe Dobsonville killings

Police's Occult Unit has taken over the investigation into the killing of two school girls in Dobsonville, Soweto, on Wednesday.

The two girls were found dead, dressed in their school uniform. They had cuts on their hands and necks. Police found razors, candles and their school bags next to them.

SABC reports that police spokesperson, Tebello Mosikili says it is unknown, what could have caused the death of the two girls.

"The investigation team, the crime scene expects are already at the scene to collect all the evidence. And the investigation team from the provincial, Occult investigation team will take over the investigation. The two colleagues are already at the crime scene."

The girls were last seen Tuesday morning on their way to school. Neither of the girls, aged 15 and 16, had been reported missing.

Government has expressed concern over the killing of two teenage girls in Soweto. GCIS Spokesperson, Phumla Williams says they are saddened by the death of these two girls in Dobsonville.
