On a Free State Sho't Left with Mi Casa

There’s never a dull moment when J’Something, Dr Duda, Mo-T are billed to perform.

This was made sweeter by the fact that we were on a Sho’t Left of Free State between 09-10 March with the multi-award winning trio. This was the second stop in a 9-province adventure that aims to celebrate the hidden gems Mzansi has to offer.

On their partnership with Shot’Left, Mi Casa said that it was an extension of their current and third album, Home Sweet Home, which is about looking at the beauty of our country, South Africa.

According to J’Something, the partnership is helping them realize their dream of travelling the country with friends and media. “It was a dream two years ago,” he said.

We were joined by all sorts of awesome people on the trip, including former 5FM DJ Poppy Ntshongwana, Supersport presenter Motshidisi Mohono, award-winning DJ Prince Kaybee and radio personality Shakes Khumalo.

In a space of two days, we had experienced local spots such as Maphike House, Digareteneng, the Youth Martys Monument and a 4x4 drive that included lunch on the Oude Kraal Country Estate.

Wheels came off when Mi Casa took to stage to share with us their great sounds.

Here's to looking forward to seeing all the beauty that South Africa encompasses through #MyFirstShotLeft.
