Former Isibaya actor Pallance Dladla has taken over the role of S'bu Vilakazi on Rhythm City.

Pallance  replaces Lungile Radu who has played S’bu Vilakazi since Rhythm City’s inception in 2009.

Lungile is unavailable for the role now “due to other commitments”, the channel said in a statement.

Expressing how he feels about the opportunity and what he’ll bring to the character, the Safta award winning actor Pallance said, “I'm very excited about the journey I’m about to embark on with the actors that I’ll be working with. At the same time, I'm also curious about the storyline.”

He adds, “I aim to bring a voice for the young men out there who are trying to stand on their own two feet”.

S’bu comes back from his boat cruise, after he decided to take a break with his fling Lola, as a surprise guest of honour at his father’s (Miles Vilakazi) 60th birthday celebration.

This is just in the nick of time to support his family that is facing trauma, a terminal illness and an agonising sexual abuse situation.

Pallance is no stranger to the audience as took part in's 4 Play: Sex Tips For Girls.

The hunk will be gracing our screens as from today April 29.
