Kaizer Chiefs forward, Bernard Parker, will miss tonight's clash with Ajax Cape Town after picking up his fourth yellow card.

According to the Soccer-Laduma website, the striker, who turned 28 this past weekend, was shown a yellow card in the 1-0 win over Orlando Pirates on Saturday, meaning that he will now have to serve a one-game ban.

Parker was one of several players in the Amakhosi ranks on the verge of a suspension, though he was the only one to pick up his fourth card in the Soweto Derby.

Chiefs now have Knowledge Musona, Morgan Gould, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Tefu Mashamite sitting on three yellows, meaning that a booking for any of them against Ajax would result in them missing the Nedbank Cup game against FC Buffalo.

Parker’s absence could see Matthew Rusike, who came on for Parker during the derby, handed a place in the side should Stuart Baxter stick to the same formation, however he could opt to play two up front, with Musona and Kingston Nkhatha starting the game. Bernard Parker, Teko Modise and Edward Manqele are among the Premier Soccer League stars suspended for the next round of domestic action.

Meanwhile the PSL, has released the names of players who have picked up their fourth yellow card:

Kaizer Chiefs: Parker

Mamelodi Sundowns: Modise

Moroka Swallows: Manqele

Mpumalanga Black Aces: Mabhuti Khenyeza

Bidvest Wits: Tebogo Moerane

Golden Arrows: Joseph Musonda

Polokwane City: Puleng Tlolane, Tlou Molekwane.
