After a country-wide search Luthando Shosha came out victorious on Friday night after a rigorous search for the next t.v's big thing. She and hundreds of entrants were part of the Live Talent Search 2012.

Shosha, a 23-year-old from PE, will officially grace our screens alongside long-time Live presenter Bonang Matheba after beating scores of hopefuls to scoop the number one spot.“I'm feeling so many different things at once. I'm excited, happy, beyond blessed and really thankful to every single person that put me here by voting,” She said.

“There really is nothing cooler than having so many people have faith in you. I'm ready for this. I've worked hard to get here and I'm going to continue to do so.”

SABC 1 head of publicity Vukile Madlala said that the quality contestants screened by the talent search was high and that Shosha’s bid for the presenting job was “a battle well fought.”

“Congratulations to Luthando for a battle well fought and best wishes to her in her new role as co-presenter on Live,” Madlala said.

“From the beginning the ball was placed in the youths’ court for them to prove they’ve got what it takes and they did not disappoint, as evidenced by the high standard the talent search produced.”

Live is on every Friday night at 21h00 on SABC 1.
