Media personality Pearl Thusi is always bubbly and happy and one wonders if there is anything that can move her, or get her emotional.

We recently found out that the thing that makes her emotional and cry is when she thinks or reminisces about her late mother.

In an interview on SABC 1's Zaziwa, Pearl got emotional as she spoke of how she missed her late mother and wondered how things would have been if she was still alive today.

"The Miss SA Teen thing (Pearl was first princess in 2003 Miss Teen SA), it was our gift to each other. She supported me a lot through that. I think it was the one thing of my future that she didn't realise she would never be a part of. I really wish she could have been a part of my life now," an emotional Pearl said in the interview.

Pearl went on to say that her mom was always proud of her and would always show her off at the hospital she worked as a nurse. "She would flaunt me around and I was that child she wanted everyone to see that I was doing well. I can just imagine how she would be like now, if she was still around."

"As I remember now I realise more and more that my mother did everything she could and worked hard so that she could afford us luxuries that we thought were necessities," Pearl added.
