Phone/partner politics

How you manage your phone can really strengthen or weaken a marriage.

Getting your union to a place of peace, respect, and intimacy takes the two of you lots of deliberate practice, many mistakes and a great deal of trial and error.

Here are 5 ways to use your phone to keep communication and sexiness flowing in your marriage:

Finish all conversations before you enter the house

You set the tone for the entire night in the first two minutes that you enter the house. When you finish your conversations before you open the door, you symbolically show that you are ready to be available and present for your family. You show that you are not distracted. You show that you want to be able to focus and actively participate in your family life.

Text your spouse during the workday

Too much “space” between the two of you throughout the working day will set a bad habit for the marriage. Regular check-ins will ensure your spouse feels loved and taken care of. If you spend most of your time speaking to your friends, it can give the impression that you don’t want to invest in and be plugged-in into your own life.

Turn off the phones during dinner time

This is a no-brainer. This is time for you and your partner to connect. How will you do that with your phone in the picture? SHOW your partner he/she matters to you most.
