What do you like the most about your character?

I love how much he loves his kids.

What do you like the least about your character?

Sometimes he is not hardnosed enough.

What would you like to happen to your character?

I would like him to fall back in love with Donna.

Are you similar to your character and if so, in what way?

We are similar in the sense that I love my kids a lot and I am not strict enough with them. My clothes aren’t as nice as Eric’s but we wear the same underwear.

What's your favourite memory from the set?

I love taping big scenes with everybody (Christmas, weddings, birthday parties, etc.). I also love taping quiet one on one moments with any of the other characters.

Have you ever been to South Africa? What do you think about it?

Yes I have, but my last trip there was in 1974, so I haven’t seen the wonderful changes that have happened there. I would love to go again.

What's the best thing about your job?

The people who love what they do.

Between your friends on the set, do you have one extra close?

No, not really. We all love each other in a work way for which I am very grateful. When we go home, we have other lives.

Do you have a secret nickname?

My wife calls me Bonehead.

What makes you laugh?

My wife makes me laugh, all the time. Thank God.
