Rebecca Malope has been said to be going off the air it but seems she won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

Gospel powerhouse Rebecca Malope has denied media reports that her popular TV show, It's Gospel Time will be dropped by SABC2.

"It's not true. It's Gospel Time has been on our TV screens for years now, and it's still going strong," says a beaming Rebecca.

The award-winning singer and station representatives have been at pains to explain that the gospel show will not be taken off air, this amid reports that Noeleen Maholwana-Sangqu's 3Talk show has been cancelled by the SABC.

SABC2's publicist Caroline Phalakatshela confirmed that the popular Sunday evening show will not meet the same fate.

It seems as if the confusion came about with the end of the season being equated to the canning of the show.

"It is untrue that the show has been canned," explains Caroline.

"The last episode of the current season of It’s Gospel Time will be broadcasted on the 26 April," Rebecca shared with DRUM.

Meanwhile,  Rebecca will continue to grace our screens every two weeks until the end of April as It's Gospel Time will continue to alternate with Gospel Classics as it has for the past four years.
