Rihanna is suing Topshop over the selling of T-shirts bearing her image. The pop star is reportedly been trying to milk the retail store $5 million in compensation for over a year now.

According to a New York Post source, RiRi may be fighting a losing battle. "They buy the pictures from a photographer, but they do not pay the artist licensing fees. Unfortunately, UK law does not protect the artist," said the source.

The Man Down singer is said to have already spent almost $1 million in litigation thus far.The Telegraph reports that the claim was lodged with London's High Court in March last year in the name of Rihanna and her New York-based rights companies Roraj Trade and Combermere Entertainment Properties.
