The National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (NATJOINTS) which coordinates all security operations throughout the country, has been officially deployed to the Forum on China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit.

The summit will be held on 4 and 5 December 2015 at the Sandton International Convention Centre in Sandton, north of Johannesburg. With the theme “Africa-China Progressing Together: Win-Win Cooperation for Common Development”, it will be attended by the Heads of State, Ministers and members of the business communities from China and Africa.

To ensure that deployment is executed according to plan, the NATJOINTS Chairperson Lieutenant General Elias Mawela and the NATJOINTS delegation and role players visited the venue and surrounding areas. They are satisfied with the security arrangements in place.
