Kgomotso Matsunyane is back on TV. DRUM chats to her about her new show - Rise, life values and her future plans

Kgomotso Matsunyane's television comeback proves that when the entertainment bug bites, it's an itch you can't resist.

DRUM quizzes the self-proclaimed feminist, avid traveller and successful businesswoman.

What is Rise about and how did you get involved?

Rise is an intergenerational, multi-paneled show we pitched to SABC 1 that tackles issues of not only HIV/AIDS. But also lifestly choices such as issues abut using condoms. The aim is to help young people make informed choices that could empower them in their lives.

What elements do you bring to the show?

Television is my life. It's what I do when I'm not sleeping, so I have the most experience in front of the camera. And of course, I also bring my fabulous humour and incredible good looks (laughs).
