Simphiwe Dana allegedly scammed by a local author

On Thursday morning, Twitterville saw the ranting side of Xhosa singer and song-writer Simphiwe Dana unleashing her anger at Mandisa Mndela for allegedly not paying her for a gig.

Through her tweets, Dana mentioned that she met Mndela while she was in a dire financial state and left for the states with her family in the hopes of bettering her life but instead things got worse.

Upon her return, she needed assistance in launching her book called ‘Stand your Truth’ in which Dana eventually agreed to pull all strings and assist her with the book launch.

Dana performed at the launch without receiving her full pay as Mndela had promised to settle the amount at a later stage.

Eight months later, Mndela launched a second book still not having had paid back Dana for helping with her first book's launch.

This resulted in the Ndiredi singer shaking things up for Mandisa on Twitter. See the tweets below:
