Alexis Rantloane has strutted her way into the biggest model search competition in Europe.

She was picked as a grand finalist for U.K Top Model competition. “This is what I have been dreaming of all my life,” says Alexis.

The dark beauty is one of thirty finalists picked from thousands of entrants from across the world.

“This is a once in a lifetime chance, I will have the opportunity of being signed up by the biggest modeling agencies in the world,” she says excitedly.

The competition is a one-stop shop for grooming models.

They will be taught the modeling industry essentials, like how to walk the ramp and the art of photo shoots. As part of the competition Rantloane will model at the London Fashion week in January.

“Six of the models that were part of the competition last year, were signed by model agencies in London and are the biggest models in Europe right now,”

Next week she will jet off to London for the media launch, known to be one of the most exclusive and prestigious events in London.

The biggest modeling agencies, models and celebrities will be there.  “No amount money can buy you tickets to the launch,” says Alexis.

Yet there is one thing standing in the way of her dream, money to get to London to participate in the competition. The model is looking for sponsors to pay for her trip to London next year which will cost around the region of R35 000.

As part of her contract with Top Model, they have agreed to punt the finalists’ sponsors, giving the company exposure on their website and on the show.
