Black tea rinses are known to have a number of benefits for hair that isn't as healthy as it should be.

These include:

  •  Stopping the shedding of hair

  • Strengthening hair

  • Creating shine

If you want to do a tea rinse, here is what you will do:

Get 2-4 bags of black tea and steep in hot, boiling water. Let it steep for a few hours or overnight. The stronger the brew, the better your results will be.

Pour the tea into a spray bottle

After you shampoo your hair, spray the tea onto the scalp and hair. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes.

Wash out the rinse and deep condition. The tea rinse can be drying to the hair, so it is important that you condition your hair afterwards.

The caffeine in the black tea blocks the hormone that is known for hair loss (DHT).

For whatever reasons you’re shedding (stress, postpartum, etc), this is said to be a natural way of combating it.
