Ten girlfriends you should drop

If something is stressing you more than blessing you, it’s time to let it go.

When it comes to living the life we want, we have to be willing to let go of the things and people that no longer serve us.

Ten types of girlfriends every woman needs to get rid of:

Fair-weather Fiona

When things are going amazing for you, she’s right there to cheer you on and keep you encouraged. When things aren’t so great, she’s nowhere to be found.

Negative Natalie

Everyone and everything is turning against her. Nothing ever goes right. Nothing is ever her fault. Everyone is dumb or stupid in her eyes. Negativity is energy draining and no one wants to be around that 24/7.

Self-Centred Sheila

Everything is about her. She’s the type that thinks the world revolves around her, like you are supposed to drop absolutely everything to tend to her emergencies (because truth be told, that’s the only time she calls).

Shady Susan

She encourages you to your face then talks about you behind your back and keeps it moving. Sometimes you just don’t want to believe it because you see such a different person when you interact with her. But like they say: when someone shows you who they are, believe them.

Know-it-all Kayla

She’s always correcting you and everyone else around you. You can’t tell her anything without her getting defensive and trying to put you in your place.

Jealous Jade

Your long-time friend that you keep making excuses for is jealous and she’s a hater. Anytime you have an event or invite her somewhere, she’s nowhere to be found. You’re always the one to reach out and never the other way around. She’s never genuinely happy for you and usually gives you backwards compliments. Real friends cheer you on and support you without you having to say a word.

Passive-aggressive Patty

Instead of telling you if she has a problem with you directly, she is quick to throw you under the bus and act like she’s innocent. She can be draining because you never know what you’re going to get.

Serious Sophie

This “friend” can’t joke or take a joke about anything. She takes life too seriously, thus, sucking the fun (and sometimes life) out of you. Life is beautiful and it’s definitely too short to spend it without laughter.

We have to be careful about who we surround ourselves with and allow taking up space in our minds and hearts. They are a reflection of who we are and where we’re going in life.
