The art of seduction

The burden to make the first romantic move is usually bestowed on men.

Let’s get one thing straight – the burden to make the first romantic move is usually bestowed on men.

Men have to use their eyes to identify whether there’s that tell-tale flicker of interest in them and dream up zippy, original and, hopefully, funny pick-up lines to snare their catch.

Then they have to pick up the bill even if the whole exercise is a flop. Sound daunting?

it is! We should give ourselves a pat on the back for risking our fragile egos in the name of love.

Women, on the other hand, simply have to indicate in their many and varied ways whether they’re interested or not.

Where’s the great talent in that? They risk nothing and have the perverse satisfaction if they give the thumbs down of reducing guys to quivering wrecks – and have the nerve to boast about it to their girlfriends afterwards.

No, my friend, it is men who have to be the masters of seduction.

Now let’s look at ways to sharpen your powers of being charming and enchanting enough to captivate your quarry.

The first move is the trickiest and it’s the one that so often reduces normally confident guys to jelly-legged jerks.

Don’t think too hard about that first ice-breaker.

Women don’t want a rehearsed speech, they want something spontaneous and, above all, funny.

Ever noticed how laughter breaks tension and creates intimacy?

The physical activity of laughing relaxes both of you and will make it easier for you to let the conversation flow.

Keep it light. Anything too intense makes people feel uneasy and the last thing you want is for her to bolt while you’re doing the groundwork.

Make sure the bond of intimacy stays intact and build on it.

This may be easier when you are part of a group of people. Then move to a private environment, such as a romantic dinner, where you don’t have to deal with interruptions.

Check out Eric Weber’s How to Pick Up Girls or Ross Jeffries’ How to Get the Women You desire into Bed to learn the finer points of dating, but I think you’ll agree it’s mostly intuition and common sense.

Above all, if you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong.

Maintain an easy confidence and warmth at all times and you will have perfected the art of seduction.

She’ll feel at ease in your company and will want to spend more time with you, which means plenty of opportunity to impress on her that you are the guy she needs in her life.
