Maria got an axe and went looking for her husband’s nyatsi.

At last Maria caught up with Julia. “Why are you running away?” Maria asked in a calm tone. “Because you want to hurt me.” “I’m not going to hurt you. I just want to talk. Don’t you think it’s the least you can do for me?” house where they found a huge crowd waiting for them.

The Mango villagers were surprised to see Julia in one piece, for they had expected to see her with a broken jaw or leg. Then the two women went inside and shut the door. Julia said, “I’m sorry about the crowd. People of this village can’t seem to mind their own business.”

Maria looked around and said, “You have a nice place.” “Thank you,” Julia answered nervously. Even though she didn’t have a broken jaw, she knew that she was going to pay.

Maria said, “I’ll make my story very short and clear. I’m in an unhappy, abusive marriage and you are going to help me get out of it. I’ve been with my husband for more than 15 years. I have always been by his side and I made him who he is today. “After his success, he got worse, he started drinking heavily, became abusive and cheated on me. I asked him for a separation but he refused.”

Julia interrupted, “Why doesn’t he want a separation?” “Because he’s a respected, well-known man. How do you think Mango Village will label him when the people hear that I left him because of his abusive and adulterous ways?
