Lebo is scheduled to be a headline act at the 17 Annual Diamonds and Dorings Music Festival this Easter

Gospel singer Lebo Sekgobela’s life is great right now; her song Lion of Judah was one of 2016’s biggest hits. DRUM caught up with her to share about her music, career and family.

Let’s talk about the success of your album

My album is the great hand of God, to be where it is today and for people to have their own favorite songs on it, is just God’s hand at work.

Did you see that Metro FM Awards Song of the year nomination coming?

Not at all. And I didn’t know it had been nominated until days later when a journalist called me for an interview. I was so overjoyed.  And still am humbled by the honor.

What do you enjoy the most about what you do?

I love ministering in song and helping people to be connected to God, it gives me joy.

How does Lebo deal with challenges along the road of being an artist?

I get advice from my family, friends and fellow Gospel artists. So when challenges come I pray and get good counsel from loved ones around me.

You are one of the headline acts at the Annual Diamonds and Dorings Music Festival in Kimberly this Easter. Tell us what people can expect from your performance?

I am excited to be part of the show and for that people can expect great ministry in song and also just a good time.

What is your favorite verse?

For this season it’s John 3:16,  as we are going to Easter we are looking forward to what God has done for us, he chose to love us and decided to give his only begotten Son to die for our sins.

What are you plans for the year?

Doing the Lion of Judah National tour, that is dedicated to all my fans just to say thank you for your support.
