AWARD-winning rapper Emtee has such a crush on Pearl Thusi that he even wrote a song praising her. Well, we can’t say we blame him – the sassy television personality is beyond beautiful.

But Pearl is not the only person getting a dedication song: Zaziwa presenter Pearl Modiadie has also had her charms serenaded by The Verb 101, who is originally from the Eastern Cape but grew up in the East Rand.

His song Pearl Moody, inspired by the former Sistahood presenter, has been enjoying airplay on a few local radio stations.

The Verb 101 says he was inspired by Pearl’s hard work and her beauty that he turned her name into an adjective for all things great.

“Pearl Moody is an achievers anthem, a goal attained and an adjective for a curvaceous woman,” he says. “I bought a new house; that's Pearl Moody. I bought a new car; that's Pearl Moody. My money is beautiful like Pearl Moody,” his lyrics goes.

Composing a song praising a female television personality is becoming a trend.

On his killer track Doc Shebeleza, Cassper Nyovest rapped about trying to make babies with then-ex-girlfriend Boity Thulo. Last year they rekindled their relationship.

Bonang Matheba has had a song about her, so who will be next? Amanda du-Pont?
