Two men and a woman were arrested in Durban for allegedly making and selling alcohol illegally, the Hawks said on Friday.

Liquor worth R120,000 was confiscated when the three were arrested in Umlazi's E-section on Thursday, Hawks spokesman Paul Ramaloko said.

The trio allegedly sold their liquor as a well-known brand.

They were expected to appear on charges of fraud and contravening the Counterfeit Goods Act in the Umlazi Magistrate's Court on Friday.
