He takes over from Yvonne Chaka Chaka.

The cultural and Creative Industries Federation of South Africa has elected Tony Kgoroge as chairman. This two days long selection was held at the elective conference in Bloemfontein. He takes over from Yvonne Chaka Chaka, who was appointed the interim chair, reports Sowetan.

He will be running for four years, and his deputy is  Gezani Komane, well known as Penny Penny.

He says that the competition was tough and other competitors went out of their way to campaign for votes, but he was the peoples choice, with six province backing him up.
