As of today, the entire team of the Touch Down Show will not be on-air until further notice. According to a statement by the Metro FM station management the team will be off air until further notice because of a steamy interview with sex educator Jade Zwane which the management found ‘unsavoury’.

“Yesterday afternoon the team unfortunately conducted an interview which was a clear contravention/transgression of Radio Policy.

The interview was regrettably that of explicit nature which is an unfortunate violation of our mandate,” explained the statement.

The statement further clarified that the Touch Down team “has not been suspended, but are merely not scheduled until we have gone through our internal processes and procedures.”

Metro fm has been riddled with problems this week. Morning Show host Unathi Msengana was criticised in an open letter  which went viral that described her as rude and disrespectful to her listeners.
