I don't let the growing fame get to my head- Kay Sibiya.

Uzalo's Kay Sibiya talks to DRUM about his rising star, working with legends and his woman crush.

So Uzalo is number two as the most watched show on South Africa TV. How does it feel to be part of that journey?

It's life changing and also overwhelming. I feel like one day I woke up being normal and the next many  people know me. Its also quite humbling working with legends like Leleti Khumalo, Bheki Mkhwane and  Don Mlangeni.

How do you deal with the growing fame?

There is no formula to it. I just dont let it get to my head. I only stay grateful that people are appreciating what I am doing. And what the show has to offer. I also understand that it's not about Kay but the character I play, people love Ayanda.

Three things you love about Uzalo?

Its originality. The storyline is quite interesting and different. Uzalo is also a trendsetter being the only most watched show that is shot outside of Gauteng. There are a lot of new faces shown on Uzalo, thereby exposing South Africa to all the other talent we have.

What would people be suprised to know about you?

1) I am an indoors person. I would rather stay in than 'turn up' anyday.

2) I am not a very neat person

3) I don't like gym. I actually hate it. I haven't been in almost a month.

4) I love swimming but I can't do the butterly.

Who is your woman crush 'all day, everyday?'

That's a hard one. Can I give you three?

Cool go ahead.

Boity, Nandi Mngoma (I would pay all the cows for her) and Bontle Modiselle

That's a good list. Anyone else?

My girl is number one.

Thanks for this Kay!

Thank you for doing this with me.
