Despite mass protest that took place at universities on Monday, The University of Johannesburg, The University of the Free State and The University of Kwa Zulu- Natal will resume their academic programme today.

Universities were on fire yesterday as students set campuses alight amid protests.

At UKZN the William O'Brien Student Residence at their Pietermaritzburg campus was completely destroyed in a fire and across town the Durban University of Technology Indumiso Campus was also set ablaze.

Disruptions during the #FeesMustFall protest has meant that there are major delays in the academic programme, writing exams and graduations.

The delay in graduation ceremonies means students will also be delayed in the process of finding work on completing their studies.
