Television and radio personality Luyanda Potwana dishes about living on the streets, the woman in his life and why he decided to lose some weight on our show, Unscripted

He lived on the streets of Johannesburg packing and washing cars with the end goal to make it to television.

When he finally made it and got his big break to present SABC1’s youth reality series, Nyan’Nyan, in 2013, he never looked back.

During his exclusive interview with us, Luyanda revealed that he recently went back to the streets, but this time it was to shoot a documentary. “It was a very emotional moment. I saw people I used to work with seven years ago still looking the same. There is nothing special about me, I just refused to accept the situation that the devil brought to me. I was driven by faith,” he says, adding that the streets are not safe.
