Opposition parties have demanded that President Jacob Zuma be called to answer oral questions before Parliament adjourns for Christmas holidays.

Speaker Baleka Mbete  and the ANC have said the hostile climate in the House has made it difficult for the president to make the necessary appearances.

EFF leader, Floyd Shivambu said Zuma’s absence today would lead to the disruption of the state of the nation address (Sona), set for February 12 next year.
